What's the climate like in Madrid?
Madrid in mid-January is wintertime, so expect cool to chilly weather. In January, average daytime temperatures typically range from 8°C to 12°C (46°F to 54°F), while evenings can drop to around 1°C to 4°C (34°F to 39°F). It's usually dry with plenty of sunshine during the day. We recommend dressing in layers, with a warm coat, scarf, and comfortable shoes—especially if you'll be walking around the city.

What documentation is required
to travel to Spain?
Travelers from the United States and most Latin American countries—including El Salvador, Honduras, the Dominican Republic, Panama, and Mexico—do not need a visa for short stays in Spain. You’ll just need a valid passport, which should be valid for at least three months beyond your planned departure date from Spain. We always recommend confirming current requirements with your local Spanish consulate or airline before traveling

What's the best way to get around Madrid?
Taxis and Ubers are safe, reliable, affordable, and readily available all over the city! You can also use apps like Cabify and FreeNow to get around which are popular in Spain. Madrid has amazing public transportation options. Google maps is a great option for checking what metro or bus line you should take to get to your destination. Many places are walking distance within the city center and we highly recommend taking advantage of the city and the beautiful architecture you will see all around!
